Intern Data Scientist
Description
We are seeking a motivated Data Scientist Intern to join our business intelligence team for the summer of 2026. In this role, you will help support analytics, modeling, and data-driven decision-making initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience working with real-world datasets, in sales, supply chain, operations and finance to apply advanced analytics and statistical modeling to solve business problems.
THE DAY TO DAY…

Gather requirements from business partners across different organizations within the company to understand problems they are currently facing

Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing of data from our data warehouse

Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies
-
Develop and evaluate statistical models to solve enterprise problems
-
A heavy emphasis on programming in R and Python to create models and facilitate EDA
-
Create visualizations and dashboards in Power BI to communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Suggest improvement opportunities where needed

THE QUALIFICATIONS…

Must be enrolled as a student at an accredited university studying toward a Bachelor’s degree

Must have completed the sophomore year (or equivalent for Associate program candidates) in the major program of study

Be seeking a degree in a STEM related field. (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, etc.)

Completion of a programming course and a course in Regression Analysis
