Database Engineer Intern

As the Database Engineer Intern, you'll support the development and maintenance of database solutions that ensure reliable, high‑quality data across systems. This role provides hands‑on experience working with SQL Server, data integration, and database best practices while learning from experienced engineers.

About the role

• Assist with database design, data modeling, and query optimization

• Help write and maintain SQL queries, views, and stored procedures

• Support data integration and data quality efforts across systems

• Assist with maintaining and enhancing database applications

• Participate in code reviews and documentation efforts

• Learn and follow database security and best practices

• Assist with automation and process improvement initiatives

• Collaborate with engineers and team members in an Agile/DevOps environment

About you

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL through coursework or projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server

• Familiarity with SQL queries, views, or stored procedures

• Basic understanding of data modeling or ETL concepts

• Experience with Git/GitHub through coursework or projects

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
